Dr. George was licensed as a psychologist by the Ohio Board of Psychology in 1979.  He is also licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.  He is board certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors and has held memberships in the American Counseling Association, American Psychological Association, Ohio Psychological Association, and the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.  He also has an Emeritus staff relationship with Mercy Medical Center. 
   He received his BA degree from Malone University, his master’s degree from the University of Akron and his PhD from Kent State University.
   Dr. George has been serving the people of Stark County through his private practice for 38 years, which was preceded by five years in community counseling services.  Dr. George retired from clinical practice in May of 2018.  He and his staff wish to express their gratitude to the many individuals, families and couples who shared their life journey and difficult times with them.  It was a    pleasure and an honor to be involved in helping so many people.
